Eskaya Beach Resort & Spa Panglao Reviews
Luxurious romance May 15, 2010
We only had dinner here and for the price of Php3,700 for 3 persons for a meal and a round of cocktails, its expensive, but still ok. However, we checked the room rates and we think paying its quite too much despite the promise of exclusivity and utmost privacy considering there are only around 10 (more or less) rooms/villas. :)
The food was ok. The atmosphere/ambiance is nice. We were fortunate to have the night for ourselves. No other diners, so we were first serenaded by a pianist on the dining area until we went down to the pool area and the manager asked us if we wanted to have our dinner beside the pool instead. We said yes and they immediately set up beside the pool. The moon was full and bright that night giving a very romantic setting beside the poolside which is decorated by candles along the side. The small touch really goes a long way :) Then, a band played some nice contemporary love songs and after dinner, being in a nice mood, I suggested we have some drinks. We ordered cocktails and while waiting, my partner asked to dance with me. Very romantic.
My British friend felt uneasy with all the attention of almost ten staff who were standing close by and waiting to attend to our needs. However, me and my Cypriot partner were just fine with it.
I would recommend for some romantic dinners but I do feel it's quite expensive cost for exclusivity esp because I'm not one of those politicians who don't want to be seen with someone other than my wife ;)

This is a 5 star Resort in Bohol. Topography of the resort is varied. It has a short cliff, flat land, a ravine, even caves and has a commanding view of sea. The Resort is boutique style which accounts for its exclusivity. Architecture of the building is decidedly Filipino with a splash of modern amenities. The thatched villas or "Balai" in the dialect, are single detached. These are built with sturdy construction materials, but the ample use of indigenous materials like bamboo, cogon, and wood for finishing is highly evident. The center of attraction of the resort is the infinity pool which definitely blends with the sea at its bluest.
