Luxurious Stay May 18, 2017
This is the most expensive hotel we had on this trip, we treat ourselves to a most luxurious stay on this resort. We want to have a very comfortable room for once before continuing our trip in Myanmar. We arrived at 4:00 am after a six hours night trip from Yangon with bus ( Asia Dragon bus)

The bus drop off is right on the entrance, a resort security who had a night duty helping us the luggage and acompanying us to the reception office. There were other people ( Japanese) arrived earlier than us. The hotel lobby is enormoursly big plenty of coach to lying down, but isn't really a place to stay in the middle of the night. We were sitting for a while having our welcome drinks, I feel the bugs especially mosquitos are attacking us. Those four Japanese sleeping in the coach waiting their rooms in the morning

We book for a two night stay, we knew arriving at dawn our room won't be available until in the morning. During checked-in we can choose to wait till 9:00 am or pay 50% of the room rate and we could go to our room. We choose to pay the 50% and we had breakfast also in the morning

Although I'm still sleepy when entering to our room I'm overwhelmed the size wow as a wow. A super big room with two sized beds and a mosquito net hang on the ceiling, wooden floor, fridge, coffee maker, two luggage rack, clothes rack, safety deposit box, bathrobe and a small balcony

Bathroom is small but beautiful and very clean with toiletries, nice shower with two shower sprayer small and big, hairdyer is available

Breakfast included in the room rates choice from ala carte - Asian or international breakfast. We both choose international. They served one by one the plate-started with fresh slice fruits, thereafter cereals, basket of bread and the last one is a the plate with bacon, eggs, sausage etc.

As we arriving in the dark I haven't viewed the surrounding, so after breakfast I stroll around the resorts - this is a very beautiful place in an oasis. A big swimming pool facing to a private beach. The green surrounding feels so relaxing. The private beach is just outside, sun lounger is available for hotel guest. Towels are provide on the beach and pool. There's a bar on the pool where you can order drinks or food

As I mentioned earlier, this is the most expensive hotel we had on this trip in Myanmar we pay 93€ per night, I would say for the price of the resort is absolutely worth it. Statffs are so nice and friendly. Free wifi overall even on the beach.

Hi Cho, try to visit Ngwe Saung beach next time you come to Myanmar, is really a nice place with cosy center where small restaurants are located. Is now very quiet in Ngwe Saung, there were only 8 people staying in the resort, I heard the moonson starts in a week, we're lucky haven't got any rain yet

Thanks for this hotel review. I've never been to Ngwe Saung before. All my friends in Myanmar keep telling me to go there on my next trip to home country. I was only in Chaungtha beach once. It is not far from Ngwe Saung.
