Erfurt is on a little river called Gera ,in central Germany.Founded by St. Boniface as a bishopric in 742 AD. A University was founded in 1392. A famous student was Martin Luther, there is a statue of him in centre of Erfurt.-- -The tourist office is in Benedikplatz.---There is a direct rail line from Berlin Hauptbahnhof, a train takes two and half hours to Erfurt Hauptbahnhof.
