We traveled from Central Marocco to the coast, than to the north, Rabat, Meknes, Fes. We went to the sanddunes of Merzougah and finished at the coast in Agadir.. A wonderful trip!!!!!

I put this location as Erfoud as that, I think, is the closest main town to the Merzouga Sand dunes where we stayed the night. Note on the map how close we actually were to the border.

The entry to the sahara was via 1hr 4WD 'safari' from the small town of Erfoud. our guide described the sahara as a 'flowing ocean of sand dunes' and it looked just like in the movies with camels to complete the picture perfectly (actually they are dromedarys - one hump - in morocco).
