Monkeys, Waterfalls and Fish, Oh My! Jul 06, 2011
While living in Bangkok, Kanchanaburi was one of my favorite weekend escapes, and everytime we would visit my friends and I would make sure to rent motorbikes and drive to Erawan Waterfall. The drive itself is scenic and gorgeous and once you arrive it gets better and better. The waterfall itself consists of 7 tiers, my favorites being 4,5 and 7. On tier four there are naturally rounded rocks that act as water slides. Just be ware of the "biting" fish. In big cities you can pay a lot of money for fish massages, at Erawan you get them for free, it just takes a while to get over the feeling of fish sucking on you.

Beautiful waterfall Nov 10, 2011
I had an opportunity to go there last year with company.

Kanchanaburi province is far from Bangkok by driving around 2.30 hrs.

Even though close time is 16.00 pm, but you should go to earlier than 2 hr due to the

upper floor will be closed fist and you can't go up there.

PS. I don't remember which floor I swam. I stand for a while and then fish ate my feet. it's pain!

Amazing 7 - tired of Waterfall Nov 16, 2009
Erawan Waterfalls is a place where you should be when you visiting Thailand.

The main attraction is the beautiful 7-tired Erawan Waterfall with its emerald green water and the beautiful falls. Also worth to see is the Pra That Cave with its strange shaped stalactites and stalagmites.

I recommend swimming on the one of waterfalls levels. Watch out on fishes which like to

pinch swimming people.

On 4th or 5th level the park guards might ask you to pay a recognizance for your plastic bottle. (It is 20 BHT for each bottle). When you'll go back they return you money but only when they see the same bottle.

Opening hours: from 8 to 4 pm. Please remember that, buses shuttle every 2 hours.

Admission fee: 200 Baht per person

We get a public bus to Erawan falls - it was very cheap - 50 BHT. We paid for a open space taxi (some kind of local tuk tuk) to the bus station - 60 BHT.
