I would check out the Red Room at college and Spadina for a college hang out with cheap food and drinks, and then walk along college west into little italy, with more than just italian food but also small bars and cafes. But, Queen West West as it's now called, has the ultimate artistic scene, with small galleries open in the evenings, randomly, with the Drake being the hottest spot right now, a bit stuck up, but a lot of fun. That would be around Queen and Ossington, and if you can find sweaty bettys, just on Ossington north of queen, on the east side, it's magical.

Er hat dann sogar zugegeben, daß der Zug immer um ein paar Stunden zu spät sei und soetwas eigentlich jedes Mal vorkomme. Auf die Frage, warum dann der Fahrplan nicht entsprechend angepaßt würde, wußte er dann auch keine Antwort, aber das soll… Toronto |

Alas, the seven weeks of summer fun, er, dissertation research is ended. I stayed with three different friends in London and didn't have time to post the rest of my stories, esp. from Copenhagen and Stockholm. Or even London. So I promise those will appear soon. This weekend we had a break from the 'squalor' of halls, as Alex's ER friend was away for the weekend and let us stay in his posh hotel room at the Delta Chelsea hotel opposite the hospital. We took full advantage of the pool and roof deck - and the TV, a rare luxury - as well as the bathroom… Week 2 |
