Equity Point Marrakech, Riad Amazigh
Equity Point Marrakech, Riad Amazigh Reviews
Much better options available. misleading photos shown Nov 01, 2009
This Hostel is not quite what i was expecting.
The pictures on websites are totally misleading as the room and bathroom shown are for the only private double room at a cost of 100Euro a night so dont think a normal room booked is even half of the standard shown. Marrakesh is not the easiest place to walk around as a single traveller ( day or night)and the location of Equity Point is useful during the day right in the Souks however this advantage turns to a major disadvantage once the sun goes down. The small very very dark winding alleys to get to the door are not the most welcoming and can actually be down right freightening. Upon my arrival ( quite late ) the check in was ok and i was given my room a four bed ensuite room (what i had booked months in advance and paid for) this room was comfortable enough and clean enough. I then returned the following mid afternoon to find that my belongings had been moved to an entirely different floor let alone room! i was then down graded to big dorm and shared bathroom withthe resturaunt.. then got moved again and again to end up with BED BUGS 63 bites in total!!!! needless to say that this was not the greatest stay - i had specifically said to put me in a room i didnt have to move from for the remainder of my trip but the staff clearly didnt care and were not very friendly or helpful. in total i shifted rooms 5 times for a 4 night stay.. and for the same money i could have been in an airconditioned hotel room i wouldn't have had to share.... on the whole look around at lot more before considering this hostel as there are much better ootions available. |
