Envy Restaurant - Amsterdam - TravBuddy

This is a casual, hip restaurant located in the Nine Streets area of Amsterdam. The atmosphere is quite trendy and the service is excellent. The portions are not large and best ordered as individual tapas. I especially loved the open kitchen and watching the chefs prepare the delicate portions. The interior is kept quite dark to set a warm ambient atmosphere and the tables along the left wall are lit by little spot lights right above on the ceiling. One of the other nice features is the row of tall tables and chairs that line the way through the middle of the restaurant.

If you are looking for a place that serves huge portions, I would not recommend going to Envy, however. It's more of an a la carte menu. But, if you want to experience fantastic dishes like scallops wrapped in Serrano ham with truffle foam, then this is the place to go. They also have a wonderful selection of wines.

Prices range around 35 euro per person for a meal.
