Enterprise Hotel London
Enterprise Hotel London Reviews
Great Location Aug 20, 2009
Undoubtedly, the best feature of this hotel is its location, you can get here from Heathrow Airport or Kings Cross Station directly on the Piccadilly line of the London Underground. Once at Earl’s Court tube station you just take the exit onto Earl’s Court Road and its about a minute’s walk up Hogarth Road to the hotel. Earl’s Court tube station has links to the Piccadilly, District and Circle lines which can get you to just about anywhere in London once you’ve checked in and are ready to go exploring. On Earl’s Court Road itself there are a lot of bakeries, supermarkets and the usual fast food outlets such as KFC, Subway, McDonald’s etc, which are handy for grabbing a quick bite to eat.
Now onto the hotel… the reception is beautifully decorated in black, gold and cream with some nice seating area’s, there is also a computer station which can be used to check e-mails etc (it had a coin meter but I’m not sure how much it cost). The rooms themselves could definitely do with a revamp, they were basic but clean and included all the necessary amenities; hairdryer, kettle with tea and coffee facilities, iron, ironing board etc. There was only a rather small television on a wall bracket, but if you’re visiting London for pleasure there are far better things to be doing than sitting in a room watching TV. There was a small bathroom with a rather shabby door which didn’t lock, and the bathroom itself had a musty smell, there was no bath, but the shower worked well. We didn’t have a particularly good view from our room but we weren’t really expecting anything special considering we were in a built up urban area. So overall, the room was absolutely fine for what we needed, and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel has wireless internet facilities and it cost my boyfriend about £3 to use his laptop in our room for an hour. The hotel also houses an Asian restaurant, we didn’t eat here but it always smelled very nice. The staff were polite and friendly and check in was very quick, although I did have to leave a £30 cash deposit on the room as I didn’t have a credit card with me. But we didn’t spend anything in the hotel so it was reimbursed at check out. The hotel was booked about 4 days before we went to London and it cost £130 for a 2 night stay (breakfast not included), and I think £65 per night is pretty reasonable for a 3 Star hotel in Central London, and as I said earlier… the location is fantastic. I would definitely consider staying here again, but that’s more because of the location than the hotel itself. The hotel was only 2 stops away on the tube from South Kensington which is the museum district, so that was brilliant.
My boyfriend approves of the bed…
