Luxurious & splendid Hotel Aug 25, 2009

Well this was my 3rd trip to vegas, and i wanted to try one of the "luxurious" hotels on the strip. So i decided to stay 5 nights at the Wynn Hotel, in its "Encore" tower.

I gotta say that the thing i liked the most, was that it didn't look like disneyland. Lots of the theme hotels, always remind me of a theme park... lions at the lobby, a rollercoaster on the roof, a moving statue at the hotel ... etc.

The ENCORE has a simple, stlyish, and designful look. Like Apple prodcuts, Simple, with lots of style :).

The pool at the encore wasn't as impresseing as the 3 pools at the Caesar's Palace. Neither was there a wave generator like at Mandalay Bay. However you could get a seat at the pool all the day long. It was never overcrowded. If i'm on vacation, i don't want to feel like a match in a matchbox. The area of the encore's pool was pretty quiet, friendly pool service, not many children jumping around.

On weekends the pool of the wynn hotel, was rather crowded with younger people (20-30 years)... everyone was partying, drinking...

The wynn pool is only a couple of steps away from the encore pool. So you get access to both of the pools.

Nightlife:
I was told that the XS club at the encore hotel, would be the BEST one of the strip on weekends. While i was walking by around 8 pm, people were already doing the line to get in.

But for "guys" only, it's pretty hard to get in without girls, so we didn't even try.

The night before we went to the TRYST club at the Wynn hotel. Apparently it's the best club on Thursdays. PLENTY of people. Our concierge at the encore, put us on a guestlist, and we got a free entrance ticket (instead of paying 20 bucks for the admission). That's what I call a good hotel service.

I gotta add, that I didn't like the club though. Maybe because i'm not used to american clubs. If english isn't your first language, you might not feel at ease. Everyone inside the club, seemed to know each other, lots of groups,... lots of pretty girls, and lots of BIG guys. IMO it's not the best spot to meet people. The music was pretty loud, and so many people behaved REALLY fake. The bartenders had HUGE boobs...almost like pornstars. Dunno what to say... I prefer social clubs, with not that much bling bling in the air..

The Casino itself at the Encore, was a lot cleaner and more stylish than most of the casinos i've visited in vegas.

I bet kids, and teenagers, would rather prefer staying in a more "fantasy-like" hotel. Grown-up people will be 200% satisfied with the Encore.

If you stay more than 4 nights.. the hotel will give you a credit note. We could spend 150$ on our room for free. You could spend those 150$ in restaurants, room service (drinks, food), for drinks at the pool, internet..and so on..
THAT WHAT I CALL A FANTASTIC SERVICE :).
150$ isn't that bad!

The rooms were very spacious...
The double-king rooms didn't look that much different from the big rooms at the caesar's or mandalay. However the 1King-Suite was divided into 2 rooms, which gave the whole suite a special flair. For that price we paid, you won't find anything nice in vegas i guess.

I would ALWAYS turn back again!
I turned back home with a totally satisfied impression about the Encore.

Next time I'll have to check out the golf court at the backside of the hotel (i've never played Golf in my life).

WYNN DOES IT AGAIN ! Mar 13, 2009
Luxury, pure luxury, I do not know how else to describe Steve Wynns newest addition in upscale resorts. Newly opened at the end of 2008, this resort is a great escape for anyone that wants to be pampered 24/7. It is locat...read entire review at TravelPost.com
