Empress Hotel Chiang Mai

if you saw my ratings then you know i liked this place.
it has everything you would want in a five star hotel at a two star price.

at about 1500 baht per night ($30-$35 US) you get way more hotel for the money.
the staff is very profesional, rooms are clean and comfortable.

i can't say enough good things about this hotel.

This is a nice hotel. It looks good from the outside and there isn't any to complain about the inside either, though it is not the most fancy place I've seen. Especially the rooms are a bit simple and old fashioned, yes clean and not too small.

Most of all I had a good time at the swimming pool, which isn't fancy either but it was just really warm during our stay and we all felt like just relaxing by the water.

Diner in the hotel is good, but nothing special. We didn't eat here much. Good point is that the place is at walking distance from the night market, so you don't have to worry about how to drag all those souvenirs back to your room ;)

I liked staying here and I would recommend the place to people going to Chiang Mai, although I know there are much better and luxurious hotels here. Empress is a good go between.
