A different way to see the Thames from above and cross over on it. As said in the blog it caught my eye while passing on the DLR, and I easily worked out the staion to get to it. Getting off the DLR at Royal Victoria, it is signposted and about 100 yards and around the corner from the station. The other terminal on the Greenwich Peninsula is right beside the O2.

Taking it's name from the Emirates sponsorship, it does appear on the integrated TFL map, although there is an additional charge for using it, £4-30 single ( £8-60 return) or with a Travelcard or Oyster Card £3-20 and £6-40. Kids go for just about half price. If you are really fussy you can get a private cabin for £86 :O

It was around midday on a scorching Sunday afternoon when I went, yet there were barely a dozen people waiting to get tickets at the Royal Docks Terminal. Things would be different if there was an event on at the O2 probably.

With so few people they weren't cramming people on, as each car can hold 8, and they were letting small groups and individuals have cars to themselves. I'm not that bothered and shared with 2 women on the way across and it was fine, as I was able to take photos of them together ( not like there was anywhere I could leg it with their camera :D).

Keeps to the airline sponsor theme as you get your crusing altitude of 295ft, which offers good views up and down the river and surrounding area. Absolutely pointless, when you can SEE where you are going, but it did have an in flight display of the route :D

Certainly worth doing at least one way, for something a bit different in your stay in London and value for money, and lacking the boredom factor, easily much better than the London Eye.
