Take a break Oct 16, 2010
For those who want to take a break from the sea, beaches, islands, snorkeling and scuba then check out emerald pool.It is about 30 minutes from Krabi.Winding roads taking you inland away from the coast leeds you to a protected forest where you have to leave your vechile and trek further.Walking through a rocky trail take your time if permitted to look out for trees, shrubs, thorny palms and wild flowers. You can listen to the chirping of birds and the rustle of water flowing down small streams and there you are at the pool.A clear fresh water pool about 3 metres deep and about a 100 metres in cicumference is a pretty sight indeed. The sides of the pool are slippery and mind the sharp edges of the rocks.Take a dive and swim up to a small waterfall the source and swim around enjoying the crystal clear water.Take a few snaps, sit around under the shade, read a book or just lie down and relax.

I have'nt described the pool in detail because I want you to see, feel and enjoy the natural beauty of the pool yourself.Emerald pool is a rare hidden treasure and quite a surprise.
