Embassy Suites Hotel Chicago - Schaumburg / Woodfield Reviews
It was ok, but I don't usually stay in this type of hotels May 03, 2010
Embassy Suites is one of those expensive bussiness hotels, which means that nothing is included, e.g., no free internet, no free breakfast, no free cup of water basically. I know that is the concept, but I don't like it.
We stayed over there as it was the hotel designated for students working at the No-Dig conference, so I didn't know the price, but I am sure it is quite expensive.
The room was very small, we always felt too packed inside it. We were three students in the room, but we were fortunate that there was a sofa bed inside, so nobody had to share the bed, which would have been uncomfortable as they were only queen beds.
The sofa bed wasn't that comfortable, I wasn't crazy about it. The TV menu was a bit strange and it would lock sometimes and not allow you to watch anything.
The maid service wasn't the best either, I didn't feel that they fixed all the room everytime, and it was also very late.
The location is in Schamburg, so I wouldn't recommend this hotel if most of your activities will be in Chicago Downtown as it is awfully away from downtown.
In summary, I would choose a different hotel if I would be back in Chicago.
