Begun back in the 1870s as a stagecoach stop and post office this eastern Nevada city is located at the conjunction of Highways 6, 50, and 93 at the southern end of the Steptoe Valley where it meets the Egan Range. It is closer to Salt Lake City than to Reno.
Best known for its Ghost Train, a restored Nevada Northern Railway train that still runs during the summer months.
