See the Town of Eloy Mar 06, 2017
I mostly stop here for the night and maybe a quick meal. I did, however, look around once and found Eloy to be a decent little town with some nice people.

Eloy is a fast growing town of about 17,000 (up 61% since 2000) located near the intersection of Interstates 8 and 10 in Pinal County in Southern Arizona between Tucson and Phoenix. The population is 70% male and has grown so rapidly because of a correctional facility opened in the town in 2007. Eloy is also home to the world’s largest skydive dropzone. The Southern Pacific Railroad built the first line across Southern Arizona between 1878 and 1880 and called it the “Eastern Line of Yuma”. In 1902 a siding and a section house was built here and was labeled ELOY on the maps, an acronym for “East Line of Yuma”. Reportedly that is how the town got its name. In 1918 an attempt to open a post office naming the town “Cotton City” failed. The town incorporated in 1949.
