Unless you are planning on going there by car, I wouldn't attempted to get there either by walking or by hitching 'cause there isn't many cars passing by.

The road you take to get there will only take you there so it's quite a big detour for a short journey on Skye but still worth it!

The sceneries along the road are beautiful and once you get to small village of Elgol, the view you have on the Cuillin Hills is majestic! Great place for sunsets also!

As for most villages on Skye, not much, understand nothing!, to do appart from enjoying the beautiful landscapes of a remoted island of Scotland!

To get to Elgol : just after the garage in Broadford, you'll see a sign indicating the road to Elgol at your left.

Elgol is on the west coast of the Island.  You will get there by turning left somewhere in the middle of Broadford, just after the CO-OP and the garage.  Don't worry, there is a sign indicating!  I think it says maybe 10 miles but it is a one lane snake-like road so I would say half an hour to get there from when you turn.  There is absolutely nothing there but the breath-taking view at the Cuillins Mountains!
