Happy memories May 17, 2011
We stayed here with our Acacia tour group. We were told that because of the droughts the Elephants had gone a bit mad and uprooted all the trees and some of the toilet blocks trying to get water. Even though it was a bit of a mess I still loved it.

There is a nice bar and the bathrooms were clean. The food was also nice.

We were actually camping so I can't comment on the rooms.

This was also where my friend and I got locked on our tour bus for two hours in a storm :)Funny memories.

It may be a little off the beaten path, but Elephant sands Lodge is definitely worth a stop. The rooms are only OK and the food is nothing special, but its location within yards of a large watering hole where the elephants gather and create an opportunity to experience Africa at its best make this a highly recommended place.
