Elephant Safari Park Lodge Taro Reviews
The Most Unique Bali Accommodation Aug 07, 2010
Opting to stay at the Elephant Safari Park Lodge as opposed to visiting on a day trip was probably the best idea that my friends and I had whilst travelling through Bali, August 2010.
It was definitely the highlight of our trip and would recommend it to anyone visiting Bali in the future.
We stayed in a family Garden room for 1 night. The room was exceptional. The bathroom was large, bright, clean and functional. The beds were comfortable and there were extra pillows that were almost brand new. We had our own balcony that opened up from the room to the garden where the Elephants are kept over night.
It is a strange sound to hear elephants eating their dinner of a night! And there is a slight smell but we didn't leave the doors open as the room was air conditioned so we hardly noticed.
We had an elephant chaffeur for dinner as well as breakfast which was a unique and memorable treat.
The food for dinner and breakfast was average but the cocktails were delicious.
We also treated ourselves to a hot stone massage with the lodge's spa service. It was devine and although a little bit expensive for Bali, definitely worth spending the money (approx $100AUS).
Taking part in washing down the elephants and watching the elephant shows are also recommended.
It's a once or twice in a life time opportunity to take part in something as unique as this.
