Elephant Island Vacation Guide

This island is comprised of rugged mountains and glaciers rising from the frigid Antarctic waters. No humans inhabit the island, but you will have a chance to see penguins and elephant seals along its shores. It is named Elephant Island both for the elephant seals that laze on the beaches and for its interesting shape, which is similar to that of an elephant’s head.
