A very sad place with chained hurt animals... the beach is beautiful though Jan 24, 2013
We've heard there was a beach with elephants. We thought there would be elephants living nicely and well in the beach at an opened space.

We were very curious, so we got a motorkibe and rode there.

What we found was a shoking truth... the elephants were all chained with thick tight metal chains that were cutting through their skin.

Some of the animals had blood around the ankles and the baby elephant was rocking back and forth, showing serious amounts of stress and depression.

I found the whole place sad, depressive and almost couldn't hold in the tears.

Later on came over a group of mainstream tourists, who didn't even seem to notice the amount of stress and confinement this animals were subjected to, they were just glad to see elephents :(

We moved on to the beach and tried to forget what we just saw.

The beach is very beautiful, ful of recks from the tsunami that affected a bit the area.

You can find amazing tree trunks, twisted almost like sculptures.

The water is cristal cear, warm, inviting and totally flat. You can swimm and have a blast.
