Elephant Bar Reviews

My son complained about what I was about to prepare for dinner to my mother when she called to say happy birthday. So instead of torturing my kids with my cooking and slaving over a hot stove on my birthday I decided to treat myself to some yummy food.
The Elephant bar is a pretty happening place on the weekends (or so I hear). But it was Monday so I figured it would be much quieter which is was. Perfect for a nice dinner with the family. We all enjoyed our yummy dinner and the portions were a pretty good size. Served in very charming ways... except for the kids mean which was just thrown in a large bowl. But for a kids meal, it was freaking huge! And came with dessert. I really like this place and will be visiting more often for no special occasion! Just for some good food cute atmosphere. Love the theme they have all South Africa Safari style. Very fun! |

The wait was not long....not long at all. As we entered and gave our party size of 2, the hostess stated we would be seated within 5 minutes. I don't believe we even had to wait 2 minutes.
The waiter was very nice and professional. He took our drink order and was patient to wait until our menus were closed before taking our food order. It took quite a while before we ordered anything. We were so caught up in getting caught up, we hardly looked at the menu. Finally....food was ordered and I had the Shrimp and Chicken Jambalaya which was really good. It wasn't too spicy, but had flavor. Don't get me wrong....I love spicy food, but this was sufficient. Also, a step in a different direction as I usually savor the asian flavor when dining at the Elephant Bar. I recommend this restaurant. |
