El Pueblito de los Domenicos
El Pueblito de los Domenicos Reviews
Dec 27, 2007
At Avenida Apoquindo, one of the last stops on the bus line 407 you'll find Parque los Domenicos. As of 12/2007 there is construction happening, but you will see signs for the arts market and if you just wind past the construction, and head to the right of the church at the back of the plaza, you can't miss the entrance for the artesan market. the area has a pueblito feel, and though it is somewhat of a tourist trap, if you need gifts this is the place to find them. What i liked about the pueblito is that it's not overly repetitive. There is a store that makes arts and gifts out of recycled metals and glass (like a silver fork bracelet inlaid with lapis lazuli).
It might be better to stop by in the afternoon, because when I was there at 11AM two busloads of US tourists were dropped off for a shopping break. pricing varies for each little store. |
