Welcome to Poble Espanyol de Barcelona Nov 10, 2008
Poble Espanyol is a unique architectural experiment.
Come and follow me through the gates of Poble Espanyol de Barcelona, and are ready to embark on a journey which will bring us (you) in touch with some of the most remarkable corners of Spain. Poble Espanyol was built for Barcelona's 1929 International Exhibition, this architectural museum features reproductions of 117 buildings, streets and squares from throughout the peninsula within a complex measuring some 49.000 m2, following an original design by modernist architect Puig i Cadafalch. During our walk through little Spain, we will discouver traditional Andalusian whitewashed villages, aragonese town squares, climb the steps of the cathedral os Santiago de Compostela and visit a catalan romanesque monastry. This village is also home to 40 craft workshops and of course there are several restaurants, and now it's time for a drink, after that we will proceed our tour.
