There are days that go by now, that I really miss it over there, I do truly want to go back, but maybe next time to Afghanistan.

My sister was DONE (overdone) with living in El Paso, Texas! She invited me to fly down from Portland, pack up the Ford Focus with some light boxes, the two of us, two kids, and "Bunny" the hampster. We left El Paso, and set out across the southern deserts of New Mexico, Arizona, and California on I-10. Then, headed north on I-5 through California's Central Valley, the southern Oregon Siskiyous, and the Willamette Valley to Portland. (Tracie and the kids continued on to settle in Seattle.)
