El Palace Hotel Barcelona Reviews
Great location of luxury Dec 19, 2010
I am sad that I was delayed arriving in Barcelona as this hotel is exquisite. The service of all of the employees was top notch. They were very friendly and always there to help but they were never intrusive.
When showing us to our room, the porter gave us a full tour of the room. He pointed out that the window is multi-paned so the room is quiet even though it looked over one of the main roads in Barcelona. He even pointed out that the TV is in the mirror! When it is off, it looks just like a mirror but when the TV is on, it looks like a TV with a frame around it. I had never seen anything like it and am still intrigued. The room is super clean, and bed is very comfortable.
The bathroom was very big. The shower head is mounted in the ceiling, like a rain shower I think it is called. And the bath is a sunken bath where you would walk into it like a Roman bath. The towels were plush and the toiletries were up to a high standard too.
I would highly recommend this hotel and would not hesitate to stay there the next time I am in Barcelona.

Indulgence, Enjoy! Jul 31, 2010
This hotel is an immaculate luxury hotel in Eixample area about a 5 minute walk from Placa Catalunya. It's actually the old Ritz property refurbished. It has just re-opened in 2010 and everything is gorgeous.
The lobby is classy yet welcoming. The service was attentive yet not intrusive. You never had to wait for service.
The deluxe suite was absoutely huge. The design was brand new and was classic yet modern. With views over the gherkin building, the bedroom featured everything you could want: king sized bed, desk, sofas & coffee table with waiting champagne. The Bathroom had a shower room, seperate toilet, spa bath, double sink and devine L'Occitane toiletries. Heaven on earth. The walk-in wardrobe with mirror makes it easy to keep the suite tidy.
The buffet breakfast is also excellent with a fabulous mix of catalan specialities, cakes and international classics.
You also have free use of the compueters dowstars for internet access but no complimentary wi-fi in the rooms.
All in all, a classic deluxe experince, definately indulge!
