El Pacifico Cantina Mexicana

Typcial prices, Mexican is generally rather expensive in Germany. So, it is average priced. The cantina is nicely set up with some lounge chairs outside, if you do not mind sitting next to the street.

We went on a Monday and enjoyed the happy hour with cocktails for 4Euro's, okay not much difference for me, since I drink only non-alocholic anyways, but in general, if you like cocktails, it is the best time to go.

As I look on the menu I am thinking wow this is not what I expected at all - you can pick between number 10 and 31 (different type of enchiladas, tostados and taco's) and it is served with frijoles and guacamole - depending if you order one (8,20) two (10.20) or three (12,20)
They have other platters also. Anyways, my daughter wants a steak and gets nothing but a dirty look from me. Enchilada, burrito or taco? Enchilada? Fine. As the waitress comes she suggest the children menu. And guess what.... STEAK on the childrens menu. I have never, ever seen this anywhere before. I am still thinking, of Taco Bell Style food and think it is expensive. Then my meal comes...
the kids steak with wedges is as big as my plate. The steak is big and fat and round and I am looking at my daughter, just knowing there is no way she can eat all this. It's a typical portion in a typical yuppy restaurant. And the steak was perfect.
I had an enchilada with hamburger meat and a enchilada with spinach and cheese, both were fantastic, even though I liked the spinach a little better. they were some really big enchiladas.
The waitress was really nice and helpful, the Nada Coladas were yummy and all together I am really looking forward to going there again...

Parking... Parkhaus Mousonturm, street paralell to Berger Street. Difficult parking by the restaurant. Take the U-Bahn to Höhenstrasse and Merianplatz and walk from there....

Children friendly - seemed most people go more for drinks and chicken wings...

RESERVATIONS recommendend - especially on weekends...
