Come for the Views, Stay for the Hot Spring Jan 11, 2016
We had two days in Chile so we needed to cover a lot of ground quickly. I know what to do, lets hike up to see a giant glacier, eat, then go to a hot spring and soak! So we found this company, Eco-Chile to do this, and off we were ready to go.

They picked us up a little late at 8:30 am and we were off to the glacier park. We had a group of 7, and we first stopped at a little roadside restaurant with great views to get some coffee and water for the trip, they also made our lunches. A little later we were off to the glacier. Down a windy road we went, got out of the car, did our last bathroom break for a long time and hit the road.

The problem is the glacier was about 10 miles away, and we were to walk to it. So we walked, and walked, and walked. Luckily the views were amazing! Besides the glacier, there were many wild horses (domestic horses supposedly you could horse-jack), a beautiful marsh, and some glacial waterfalls.

Finally after three hours we reached the glacier, enjoyed the views, had lunch, and realized we had to get back down. Since the glacier ski adventure was not invented we had to walk, and walk , and walk, and around two hours later we were back.

Next we drove to a hot spring up a windy deadly road. The best part of this trip was when the road was interrupted by the river, and our tour guide had to go out with a giant stone and decide the best way to cross it. Finally to the spring where we enjoyed the view, relaxed our soar muscles, and had some wine :)

After feeling like jello we hit the road again back to the hotel. This pleasant trip was stopped when a guy in a hard hat showed up and stopped us. Yes they were dynamiting the road ahead so we had to wait, and watch the explosions go off! A few booms later we were off, and got back at around 10 pm. Overall it was a spectacular trip! Now let the photos do the talking. sweet
