Delicious Parrilla in Lima - El Hornero Aug 29, 2008
If you are in Lima and you are looking for an Argentinean Parrilla "BBQ", but with a Peruvian touch, this is the place for you! Yes, it isn't a budget place, but why not spoil yourself? hehe. Well, it's expensive according to Peruvian standards. The owner of this place used to work in one of the best bbq places in town until he decided to open his own business and he succeeded.

It's located in Chorrillos in an old and big house, just in front of the sea, with a great view. They are not located in the business area, but many businessmen come here just because the food and service are so good. Right now they opened another location in the Business Area, but the one in Chorrillos is the traditional one.

The quality of the food and service is really good. Their specialty is the meat. They offer different cuts - each one better then the other. But you have to try their "parrilla" which includes beef, pork, chicken, sausage, black pudding, anticucho (heart) & choncholi. Believe me, the personal is more than enough for 3 people! As side they have potatoes, rice, but ask for the salad which is so fresh and tasty, uhmm.
They have a good wine selection. I highly recommend have an Argentinean Malbec.

The atmosphere is great. Big wood tables, leather chairs, red walls and Argentinean Tango playing as background. The staff is very helpful and kind too.

I highly recommend this place, but there are 2 tips:
1.- arrive early to find parking place & a table, but better make a reservation.
2.- try not to eat much before coming, since the portions are big and filling, but so good you can't say no to it.
tasty parrilla - this is the per
all the spices and dressings for
perfect for the cold weather, As

It was my pleasure bringing you to this place. I knew you'd love it and wanted to go to another part of the city. 2 missions acomplished, yeah!

Hey Yadi,
The bill was actually only about US$60.00 including soup and so softdrinks. I can imagine it may be higher if wine was added.

Yummy! Thanks for bringing me here for my parilla fix!
