El Gouna is located about 20 kilometers (12 miles) north from Hurghada.
It’s a complete artificial red-sea tourist resort and has been established from about 1990. El Gouna specializes all kinds of water sports like scuba diving, snorkeling, kite and wind surfing. Most of the about 14 hotels in El Gouna are in the 4 and 5 stars category. For all who like to golf, El Gouna hosts a Golf course.
The city centre is split in three areas, Downtown, Tamr Henna Square and Abu Tig Marina. El Gouna has a fully equipped hospital that can handle many special treatments (dentistry, pediatrics, general surgery).
Other attractions in El Gouna are: a go kart track, horse stables, tennis courts, a paintball arena and a football stadium. It has also a Coptic Church.

A good place. It's a karaoke bar but there is all kind of music, not only karaoke. I loved that bar, especially outside with those typical seats and the fire, that was great. I love the apple shisha. I was with a guide I met in the bus back to my hotel after the beduin trip.

Voordat ik 7 maanden op reis ga ga ik eerst nog acht dagen samen met mijn ouders, zus en haar nieuwe vriend die uit Australië komt, naar El Gouna Egypte. El Gouna is een plaatsje dat in de woestijn is gebouwd. Je hebt er ook alleen maar hotels en restaurants. Wij sliepen in het Sheraton hotel …
