Delicious Meal Guaranteed Jan 03, 2012
Worth it worth it WORTH IT!!! As the food in Cuba is not very tasteful, i think you'll be happy to have a good meal at this restaurant. It's in the heart of Havana located in a market square, So after a good meal you can wander around in the city and visit the beautiful architecture and get a good feel of the city life in Havana. The service is impeccable, the washrooms are paying washrooms basically. You have to leave a tip and buy your own toilet paper (mostly for the women's washroom, but who cares.

Th food in Cuba is more Cuban than North American. They can get very creative, with very little. Washroom lady makes for a nice chuckle.

Go only for the History Jun 10, 2012
El Floridita is famous because Ernest Hemingway used to frequent the place for its Daiquiris. Most tourists will go to Floridita only because of this reason. Their Daiquiris are still their most famous drink. 9/10 customers will order a daiquiri there.

At $6 a daiquiri, I would call it an expensive bar for Havana. The interior is nice and cozy with usually a nice band playing cuban music.

The waiters are not the most attentive though. Our group had to struggle to get their attention for even a 2nd round of drinks. They are not the most friendly either.

Sure, go to Floridita for the history and their daiquiris. But there are better bars in Havana.
