El Coyote Los Angeles Reviews
May 21, 2007
Family owned and operated since 1931. This is a Mexican restaurant with some awesome Margaritas (voted best in LA in 2007). They call it authentic California Style Mexican food.. I call it just plain good. There is a valet (it is Los Angeles) but its a reasonable $3.50. The restaurant is dim and filled with atmosphere. There is a patio outside where you can sit in the air and eat.
The wait staff is friendly but will leave you alone.. at times a little too alone but they are very gracious.
The house Margarita is a special. It doesn't taste too strong but it does have a kick. Its a deal at $6.25 for a glass. Either blended or on ice with our without salt.
The food is delicious. The chips and salsa while waiting are filling but you can't stop eating them and they are not skimpy on either.
The burritos are a good size. You can get a shredded beef burrito (what I got) with the works (covered in red sauce and cheese with guacamole, sour cream and salsa inside) for about $7.00. You will walk away full. I took half home for leftovers (yum).
All in all it is a good deal. Good food, good prices. If you're in LA and the line for Pinks is too long then go down there.
