Vintage San Diego (Coronado Island) Oct 09, 2009
This quaint hotel is nestled directly across the street from the famous Hotel Del Coronado. You'll end up spending more time dining and drinking there. The El Cordova has a historic Spanish feel to it. It offered plenty of privacy, clean rooms, pool, and hot tub. The Mexican cuisine at the attached restaurant is almost authentic, but the Margaritas during happy hour are weak. Nearby is a cheap breakfast diner and an Irish Pub (where I'm now a local). The people at the front desk were okay, but I expected more from a hotel staff in this area.
