El Cid Marina Beach Hotel Mazatlan - Reviews and Deals - Mazatlan

Marina El Cid is, in my opinion, the best El Cid hotel in Mazatlan. El Cid has many properties on the hotel zone of Mazatlan, but the Marina hotel is the best one because it is very large, clean and it is a lot quieter. Sure, it is a little far away from all the shenanigans on the strip, but it is really fun to be able to explore both sides of the strip. The hotel provides shuttles to and from all of its properties which are located along the strip.

The hotel property is really large and it has two great pool areas. One area is where the elderly hang out and the other is where the younger crowd hangs out. This is probably because the second pool has a grotto which you can go in and it is also more than 10 feet deep, as you can dive off the rocks into the pool. Also, there is a really sweet hot tub and bar nearby. The pool which I called the “elderly pool” also has a really nice swim up bar. They have games, activities and happy hours all day long so it’s a really nice place to relax before going out for the night.

I would recommend their chips and salsa from the pool area and the Don Eduardo margaritas. Also, they have excellent fruit platters in the morning. I had the strawberries and cream which are popular in Mexico. The strawberries and cream are comparable to The Del's in Coronado, which are to die for!

The service is also outstanding. As I mentioned, the property is very large so they have golf carts to drive you to your room every time you walk in! Not only that, the housekeeping staff does a really good job and they are trustworthy, which was very important to me. I was never worried about my things going missing.

Overall, it was a great experience and I expect to be going back there soon.
