Ekebergrestauranten
Ekebergrestauranten Reviews
Excellent view, large terrace, several dining rooms Nov 02, 2009
This is a great place to visit on your first trip to Oslo because of the stunning view of the city, Operahouse and the fjord. Both classic and modern dishes, but quite expensive. It is one of Europe's foremost functionalist buildings, popular to architects and frequented by both locals and tourists. You don't have to eat here; the terrace is popular during the summer for a cup of coffee or a glass of wine or a quick lunch. They also host weddings, conferences and meetings. If you are like me who loves to walk, jump off the tram at the Oslo Hospital-station and walk towards the hills. You will find stairs on the left side of the tram track, and if you stick to the right hand side of the forest path, you will get to the Ekeberg restaurant in about 10 minutes (uphill path, great exercise!).
