Eindhoven Airport is a regional airport near Eindhoven, Netherlands. In terms of the number of served passengers it is the second largest airport in the Netherlands, with 1.6 million passengers in 2008 (well behind Schiphol, which serves more than 48 million passengers-see Schiphol review)
The airport is used for both civilian and military traffic. From World War II up until a few years ago, Eindhoven Airport was called Welschap. Eindhoven has 1 runway from 9,842 feet (3000m) wich can handle all aircraft flying today. Airlines flying from Eindhoven and there destination. After a wonderful visit with Keiko (Keikocreative) and Wally (Gemini59), we rushed off to the Eindhoven airport to catch our flight to Dublin. Very excited - new country for me!!! I've wanted to go to Ireland for some time now but plans kept falling through so this would be my first time!

…to my colleagues at work and most of my family, only my sister and parents will be there when I leave Eindhoven to go to Schiphol Airport. Oh, and my mate's girlfriend will also be there since she will drive us there... ;)

…some reason I always thought that Eindhoven was a boring place but maybe that was because I never saw much of the city, just the airport. So this birthday celebration was a good way to find out what else Eindhoven has to offer!
I took the train from Meppel at 11.16am. I had to change trains in Zwolle and had a short wait here which meant I had just… Another awesome meet-up! |
