Edith's Guesthouse
Edith's Guesthouse Reviews

Edith's Guesthouse is one of the cheapest places to stay in Caye Caulker, and at $20US for double, it's a good deal. The room was kept very clean, sometimes a feat for a beachside town -- Our bathroom in Cahuita, Costa Rica, another beach town, was flush with sand and mud -- not so with Edith's! The room was large, with 2 beds, decent furniture, hooks to hang clothes and a stand-up fan. No aircon, of course, but the room had pretty good air circulation. The private bathroom was clean and had a decent shower and door that went from ceiling to floor (yes, this is not a given in Central America). Overall, very good value for the price!
Don't book tours at the front desk, though -- the tours are double the price of the ones you can get at a place about 3 doors down. Part of the Central America Death Tour '07 travel blog |

We got into Caye Caulker and found a room at Edith's Guesthouse for $10 each. It was a large double with fan and a private bathroom. Everything was very clean and we were definitely satisfied with the value.
We walked around a bit looking for the cheapest snorkel tours, and booked a trip to three… San Ignacio to Caye Caulker and Swimming with Rays |
