It was great, went to her apartment and had a (delicious) home cooked meal for the first time in too long. She was a really nice girl, very randomly feeding us poor lowly backpackers. Sat around for a while before heading back in the rain to the hostel bar for a few drinks… Where else to drink Scotch??? |

He lives with two flatmates in the Uni apartments across the Meadows. It was a nice walk and I got to take in a lot of what the city feels like during that walk. He pointed out Calton Hill and Arthur's Seat, the Scott Monument, the Royal Bank and the Museum of Art with… day three - 'House on the Hill' and Bear Cows! |

We took advantage of rooftop pool, room service, and amazing food on offer - an experience that was world apart from what we were used to!!
Our first stop was Edidburgh Castle, where I fell deeply in love with the story of Mary, Queen of Scots. We also witnessed the 1pm firing of the cannon and had the pants scared off us!! The history… Edinburgh |

Calton Hill had some great views of the old town and Edinburgh Natural History Museum was very informative about the history of Edinburgh and the country. Apart from the interesting history the town was rather quite when compared to London and the weather was very cold.… The Old City |

We then returned to the apartment, where he insisted on fixing me dinner. The house was soon filled with the smell of cumin, which practically makes me swoon. The beans and rice were superb.
