Mar 12, 2005We got a group rate, so I really can't say exactly how expensive the Edgewater was, but it was gorgeous. I've stayed there 3 times now and I've been impressed every time. Each suite has 2 bedrooms and a spacious living/dining room, as well as a balcony overlooking the beach and the Gulf of Mexico. Our first room came equipped with built-in surround sound and we enjoyed it to the fullest extent! They also had full kitchens, which helped considerably to defray the cost of eating down there. The rooms were always clean - as was the beach. The pools were refreshing and, with three of them, not too crowded. The hot tubs, on the other hand, got rather crowded and quite dirty (though it's certainly possible that they were cleaned every day and the traffic just overwhelmed their efforts). The Edgewater also has a golf course nearby and cottages (I never stayed in any of them). There was often live music by the central pool/sunbathing area. Overall, the Edgewater is one of the best resorts I've ever stayed at, and was well worth the cost! Part of the Spring Break 2005 travel blog |

We all slept in a little and headed out to the sand and sun!
We made sad mermaids, dug holes, rafted out to sea...typical day at the beach!… Dinner at Captain Andersons=A Tradition! |

We finally made it to PCB! We got checked in, and then some us headed out to WalMart to stock up on grocceries and stuff.
By the time we came back Scott and the rest had arrived and we all fell into bed, exhausted!… Finally! |
