Eden Designhotel Maastricht

In the heartof Wijck district and near centraal station, this contemporary jewel was convenient and intriguing. There are many restaurants and shops nearby and the old city is only a short walk across the River Maas. The hotel hass a cool contemporary design theme throughout. The staff was very friendly.

We had a "La Bain" room. This is one of the concept rooms that they offer. This one is a water experience. It was tiled with Royal Mosa grey tiles with Phillip Starck. Seventy percent is dedicated to the "wet area" and only thirty percent to sleeping. There is no wall separating these spaces, like a loft. The sinks are free standing in the middle of the "wet area" with the tub on the otherside of a short wall from them. The toilet has it's own room with a frosted glass door. The shower is another large room next to the shower, also with a glass door. The bed was comfy as was the pilows. The shower was divine!

I loved this concept room, however, there is one problem. If there are two people and one isn't getting up until after the other, there is no was to clean up with out alot of noise for the person still in the bed.

I would stay here, again, in a heartbeat. I would just have to get up at the same time as my partner.
