Okay for a night Jun 22, 2014
For some reason, it was very busy in Hollywood beach USA even though it was not high season. We tried many hotels without success before we settle with this hotel.

The hotel located at the residential area and it was a bit difficult to find even though we have car GPS and we passed the place several times before we know it was the hotel we want to stay. The hotel sign was not visible from the street where the hotel located and it was cover by many cars outside the building.

The hotel entrance was like a small alley way, quite narrow and then a small door lead into a small room and kind of an apartment building (probably the hotel manager apartment). We checked if there were room available for the night (even though it was five or six pm in the evening). The Indian guy who look after the reception said there were one room available but they need to clean it first before we can check in.

After agree with the price, we decided to have dinner at local restaurant located not far from the hotel – right at the front of the hotel building and leave the car at hotel parking lot.

After dinner and sightseeing at the beach nearby, we come back to the hotel to check in and paid the room in advance, it cost usd 50 per night for two people with continental breakfast in the morning. Breakfast serve at the reception area where there were a couple of tables and chairs available to have breakfast or you can bring the breakfast to your room.

We had a corner room and the room itself quite spacious, probably around 30 or 35 sqm, with it is own kitchen – but no cooking amenities inside the kitchen cupboard (not that we want to do any cooking, just checking what was there). There were two single beds in the room, table and desk, air condition and other amenities where you can expect from a three stars hotel.

The bathroom was quite spacious however it was old design without any glass door and no ventilation fan, so it was a bit foggy and warm after hot shower. At least there were concrete cement partition for the shower so the water not flood the entire floor and just stay in the shower area.

The cupboard was a bit strange, basically it was just a wall with a hanger to hang clothing and it was located on the walkway toward the bathroom.

We have big windows in the room, however there were no view from there – as it was facing the concrete cement toward another building.

In the middle of the hotel building, there were small swimming pool with a fence for hotel guests to use freely. Plenty of information and free map at the reception. The guy who look after the reception was friendly.

Breakfast in the morning was very sparse and not much selection – basically there were cereal with milk, muffin, bread and jam, tea and coffee.

For one night stay and for the price paid, it was okay. Very quiet at night time and the mattress was comfortable, however it was quite noisy with people swimming and yelling until around nine pm.
