Ebey's Landing National Historical Reserve Mar 06, 2013
In November 2010, my wife and I spent a weekend away from our kids on Whidbey Island and visited Ebey's Landing National Historical Reserve.

First, we visited Fort Casey State Park where we hiked a bit, learned about composting, and played around the Fort. There is a nice lighthouse in the park and the remains of coastal artillery.

Afterwards, we spent the rest of the day hiking the Ebey's Prairie and Bluff Trails (5 miles total). It goes along the cliff and then descends onto the coast at the turnaround point. Although it was overcast, it was gorgeous and had stunning scenery.
