If you want to eat well in Paris - or any big city in the world, for that matter - you just have to look for the places filled with locals. Just search for the average Joe accordingly to the price range you desire (and you suppose he belongs to), and where he eats is probably the place where a bunch of people eat every day.You can look for executives in fancy restaurants, or even for teenagers in the neighborhood to know where is the best place around to grab a bite. It's also useful to know a little about the arrondissement you're in. You can certainly find a decent meal in MontMartre, for example, among it's street artists and touristy restaurants. Or Saint Germain, with its tradition, the Seine, Notre Dame, and Café Deux Magots. And there's always Champs Elysées. Or Fauchon. If you can read portuguese or fancy a web translator, our travbuddy Helena wrote a very good and straight-to-the-point guide to Paris, including restaurant tips. And here in TravBuddy there's also some very nice choices for Paris.
