Earagail Arts Festival

EARAGAIL ARTS FESTIVAL 2008 will run from Thursday 10th to Sunday 20th July. This is an annual arts and culture festival that runs every year and spans dozens of venues across the county of Donegal. Each year its programme encompasses theatre and comedy, fun and family events, the spoken word and oral tradition, visual arts, music and special events. The festival usually runs for 14 days and includes many free or very low-cost events (€2 - €7). As it is based in Donegal, a county with strong Gaelic language and musical traditions, the 'Féile' is strong in these areas. The geographical spread brings arts and cultural events to the smaller towns and villages, to their benefit, but also enables visitors a window on life around the county as they attend the various shows and exhibitions. The coming festival will be the 20th, and its still vibrant and changing despite its relative maturity.
