Dwarkadhish Temple Mathura Reviews
Quick visit Feb 17, 2011
Dwarkadhish Temple is located on the main road of Mathura and is very near the banks of the River Yamuna.
It seems like a trivial point to mention, but if you visit, be sure to leave your shoes at the area which is almost hidden away opposite the temple. If in doubt, just ask someone or wait to see where the other local visitors have come from before they enter barefoot!
The temple was easily accessible but not that special at all really. There were lots of pictures there and it was a great thing to see plenty of devote worshippers here. But overall, the temple didn’t capture my imagination and attention as I wanted it to.
“Guides” are available if you want them; this doesn’t seem to be an official service, more a case of opportunistic entrepreneurs and holy men. No photography is permitted inside the temple.
