Summary of my travels since starting to travel for work in 2004. Three continents and three jobs later, this blog is an ongoing work in process. All locations are entered through present, will be adding descriptions and pictures as I have the opportunity. Please let me know if you see an entry without info you would like me to upload pictures for and I can take care of adding that location's items sooner.

The start of my Summer trip 2009 took me first to Düsseldorf where I walked the streets of the old town, tasted the local Alt Beer, peeked at shopping windows on Königsallee (Germany´s second most expensive shopping street) and watched soccer fans celebrate the victory of their team.
Later I drove on to Krefeld where I met my good friend Iveth (iveth18) from Lima. We climbed some wobbly tower at Hülser Berg, ate Kebab, drank wheat beer and talked about the old and the new days.

I've lived as a highschool student for 8 1/2 years in Düsseldorf. I have a lot of friends there and my sister lives there as well. One of my friends was going to merry and he invited me to his wedding. Of course I could't say no to such an invitation.

“Düsseldorf? Why go there?” asked certain people when I told them of our plans for New Year’s Eve. “Surely there are better places to go than Düsseldorf?”
And that was the problem. Düsseldorf seemed to have a bit of an image problem. I blame Auf Wiedersehen …

Krefeld, Germany -› Dusseldorf, Germany -› …
Being able to live in another country is amazing, but living with friends and hanging out, going to parties, travelling, and having fun is even better. I recently stayed in Germany for a month (way too short), but i had one of the greatest times i've ever had in my entire life. Life is just so laid back there, and school is a breeze; i'm seriously thinking out moving there.

On our way to/from the U2 360 concert in Gelsenkirchen, Germany on 3 August 2009, we took an Deutsche Bahn IC train along the Rhein River. We could only see the castles across the river from us, but they were spectacular! We stayed in Dusseldorf for 1 night and 1 night in Essen.
