Durham Overview

Durham is a small city compared to giants like London and Edinburgh, but has its own lovely charm. Durham lies to the south of Newcastle upon Tyne and to the north of Darlington. The shops are great for purchasing, or just walking by.

Durham also has one of the leading Universities in the world, as well as the third oldest in the United Kingdom. One part of the University is also a Norman built castle which can be visited by guided tour.

Part of the great atmosphere in this town is the Norman built Cathedral, which is a beautiful, but somehow overlooked structure by many passing through the UK. If you are ever in the area be sure to see it!
