Durban is a culturally rich city in the KwaZulu-Natal province of South Africa. There's lots of restaurants, shopping centers, and beach activities. There are also shark nets on parts of the beach - which really excited me! You can rent surfboards right below Joe Kools (a good hang out). Durban can be a dangerous place and it is not advised to go to certain parts of town at night. The Morningside area was nice - good bars and restaurants and an awesome hostel called Tekweni Backpackers.

The city was made up of a province called KwaZulu-Natal, which w…

Some photos from a six week trip to South Africa in 2006. Explored much of Kwa-Zulu Natal and some of the Eastern Cape. Although I grew up in South Afica, every time I return i am left astounded by the natural beauty of the country. Highly recommended for anyone who's thinking of going.

We spent a few days at a game reserve, talking about creation versus evolution, and learning a lot about the flood as well. Robert Zimm, who knows the Bible cover to cover and verse by verse, engaged us in some wonderful deep theological discussions, and Duncan, our personal trail guide and expert animal imitator led us through the park teaching us amazing things about God's creation.- repairing tent ravaged by baboons, hyena borrowed while on nt drive, chased off by DPThe lovely young …
