Dupont Circle is a great part of D.C. I used to work in that area, and in the Spring, it's so nice to go eat lunch or lay out in the little park area by the fountain in the middle of the Circle. Also, there are a ton of great shops and restaurants around Dupont. Mimi's American Bistro is wonderful. Plus, one of my favorite bookstores, Second Story Books, is on P St. just a block off of Dupont. Dupont has its own culture and feel to it - it's a great place to go if you want to see some authentic D.C.!
