Dunbar Scotland Nov 10, 2017
I travelled to Dunbar Scotland by bus 253 from Berwick on Tweed England, a distance of 28 miles. The bus route was from Dunbar to Edinburgh another 28 miles. Dunbar is in the county of East Lothian on the southeastern coast of Scotland. Alighting the bus in the High Street ,i noticed a tea room to come back to later. At the end of the High Street i turned right to the Victoria Harbour with its ruin of a castle, then on to the Cromwell Harbour, which had what i call tidy clutter of Lobster pots , Nets etc..From here i walked to East Beach a sandy beach. Passing the Parish Church i returned to the High Street for that coffee and cake. Dunbar as a Lifeboat station. In the High Street is a statue of John Muir as a young boy, Muir was born in Dunbar,in 1838 ,he spent most of his life in America as a authur and advocate of the wilderness in the United States. He died in America in 1914..
